Cute cafe.. but the positives end there.. We ordered 3 meals for brunch (2 of which were the same ‘Avoca on toast’) somehow all meals came out about 10 mins apart. So we ended up all at eating at seperate times. Furthermore my partners $14 cheese toastie was a minuscule cheese toastie that you would likely find at the school canteen for $2.. When you pay $14 for a sandwich you expect more than just some cheese and ham between two pieces of Tip Top white bread (not to mention it took about 20 mins to come out..) Finally charging $7 for an Almond Dirty Chai latte is absolutely ludicrous.. especially when it tastes like smelly socks… save your money and time and avoid this place…
I really love this place. I was born and bred in Avoca Beach, but I have been living in Brisbane for 5 years. It was strange to find the old corner shop converted into a thriving local cafe. The place I would go for a bag of mixed lollies as a kid is now the place I go for a bangin coffee and bacon & egg role while I’m back in town. The communal herb garden is a really cute touch, also.
Simple and delicious menu. Very friendly staff. Love the fact that they grow their own + source their food locally
