This cafe being close to where we are staying was our pick for early lunch as we could walk 5min there. Staff were friendly and the food prices, while pricey they are generous portions and it tasted pretty good. I managed to only take a photo of their Spanish omelette which my son had but after these, a the food came out at once and I was too busy eating to take anymore photos.I had their eggs benedict with smoked salmon and a side of avocado which i thought was tiny for the price you pay.y husband had Debs special which was similar to mine but instead of Turkish bread, the eggs were sitting on top of hash browns but he wasn’t a fan of this dish as it made the hash browns soggy and that’s a big no no for him. My mum had their vegetarian platter which she enjoyed. Nephew had scrambled eggs and bacon which he devoured hungrily and my niece had their banana bread which was massive. This was tasted by all and it was quite nice.Even though it was a beautiful, hot day as there was a breeze, sitting inside the cafe surprisingly made it quite chilly for us.
Friendly, tasty and great views. Point Cafe has got to have the best location for a restaurant on any beach that comes to mind. Any closer and you would be in the surf.It goes without saying that this place is very popular and with good reason. Fantastic view, located literally metres from the sand, with exceptionally friendly local staff, especially if you get there out of the main tourist season. I would suggest you close your eyes to the way over the top breakfast prices (lunch prices seem to fare a little better actualy) and just treat yourself to the view and a nice meal.We had a family breakfast here with kids and adults alike well catered for. The vegetarian breakfast is recommended as is the Eggs Benedict with Salmon. Coffee was of a high standard. Would certainly return and would like to sample some of the lunch offerings.
Just brilliant. Stopped with the partner for lunch on a leisurely drive back to Sydney. No booking on the day after the Easter weekend. Waitress offered us a table in 15 min, so we decided to wait for it. Seated at the rear to begin with, but we were moved to a front table as soon as one was available. Great start! Good menu, good variety of food for all tastes. I had the Duck salad with Hoisin sauce. Just stunning, moist duck, tasty sauce, fresh and green. Partner had the Mexican chicken salad, again, great flavors. Good wine list (we had a glass each) and a great spot to watch the world go by. Service was great too. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.
My favourite breakfast place when on the coast. The food is great and the view to die for.
Food is great and view lovely but the staff are short handed and as a result service is average. An hour between sitting down and getting breakfast is terrible.
Great location. Food is good, try the seafood tasting plate. Service is acceptable. It pays to book during weekends and school holidays.
Always rewarding especially if you find it in rare quiet moment. Great position right on the beach and excellent food.
