The Dumpling Inn is very hit and miss. The dumplings are probably the best thing on the menu (hence the name), however would avoid everything else. In our last delivery, our order was completely wrong and although I had made a note that I was allergic to peanuts, we were delivered with satay beef. This was an absolute disaster. When called to make a complaint, we could only get through to a voicemail and never heard back again – not even to check if we were okay. Talk about customer service!
It’s a nice cosy place hidden down the stairs at Balgowlah Plaza. Hard to miss though because of all the signs haha. I was the only customer in the place beside an elderly couple who left shortly after I sat down. Service was not too bad, the owner himself waited on my table. He was nice and polite. The food was good too despite all the bones in the crispy chicken which kinda killed dinner for me although it was advised on the menu. It was tasty nonetheless.
Really average food, greasy and sloppy, delivery took over 2 hrs and had to ring twice to confirm delivery time. Best off going somewhere else.
A blast from the sixties. A very disappointing experience . The food reminds me of the very old style Chinese food fro m my childhd. Too much oil and slop. The service is horrible and in general a very dissapointing dining experience. Give it a wide birth.
Terrible. Shocking food. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was deep-fried chicken pieces with a separate portion of sub-par sauce. The Sat-ay Prawn dish consisted of – Some prawns, about 3 chopped onions and a sauce that tasted vaguely like Sat-ay. i would not recommend to anyone
Go to the ying wah across the road instead!
