We had a really fabulous meal here tonight . 6 of us dined here. My tuna was cooked to perfection. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their fish and sides ( choice of 4 options ). The Brussel sprout side and salad was really delicious. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is located in a very convenient location. Will be back for sure
Absolutely amazing fish pie that is packed with delicious portions of fish. Chips are very good too. If I could be critical about one thing it’s that the fish and chips serving isnt particularly big given the price.
Went here early on a weeknight thinking we would surely get a table without a reservation but I was almost wrong. After a bit of shuffling around, the staff were able to create a table for us. The title of the restaurant gives away their specialty and on the board is a selection of fish you can have grilled with your choice of sides. Additionally there are a selection of meals on the menu. Definitely give the zucchini flowers a go – they are easily the best I’ve ever had. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable so don’t be afraid to learn more about the fish they serve. This is definitely a local gem and has the feel of fine dining without the pretentiousness. It is a little on the pricy side but the servings are quite generous.
A nice family restaurant in burbs.The decor is simple but fresh, a spacious venue which has outdoor seating as well. The staff are very friendly and service was prompt. We ordered the pie and grilled snapper. Both were generous portions. The pie pastry was golden and flaky, packed with a variety of fish and prawns. However, the sauce accompanying the filling was a bit bland, letting the dish down. The grilled snapper had a lovely flavour from the open flames, but it was a little dry, so may have been slightly overcooked.Overall a quality restaurant in your local neighbourhood.
Absolutely great restaurant. Good location and great service. The seafood pie is unbelievablely good. BYO also. Shouldn’t be giving it such a good rating as the secret will get out. And its busy as already …need yo book for sure. My family, husband and I have now been to the Fish Cafe a handful of times. Every visit without fail the food and service has been wonderful! A lovely atmosphere with the options to sit either inside or outside of course depending on the availability. We definitely recommend to book, as you don’t want to be disappointed! I highly recommend the Seafood Chowder, this cream based chowder is absolutely to die for! Prawns, mussels and diced fish cooked to perfection with warm, crusty bread is a great idea for these colder days arriving now. Each waiter and waitress who have served us have been wonderful, professional with lovely personalities. Each meal we have had has been delightful, cannot fault this lovely place at all. Will definitely be back!
Went here after hearing good reviews. Both our fish dishes were delicious. Fish pie was stand out, staff were friendly. Definitely would visit again
