I felt like I had been conned by this restaurant. They promoted this special menu on Groupon including Crab Croquette, Wagyu steak, Green Tea ice cream cake, etc….but they replaced all of them with CHEAP, disgusting food. They served frozen vegetarian spring rolls instead of Crab Croquette saying customers love spring rolls better (which was the worst excuse). Sushi platter didn’t include some items mentioned in the menu. There was NO wagyu but cheap stir fry beef! I was getting so upset but….those were nothing compared to our last course, dessert! Here comes a big platter with Coles vanilla ice cream with two pieces of Cadbury milk chocolate (no sign of green tea or tiramisu as mentioned on Groupon). Oh yes, they served three tiny pieces of disgusting banana and the white part of watermelon too. We were supposed to have a glass of sake or soft drinks (which I believe are a lot cheaper than sake) but they said we could only have Coke, not even a small can of ice tea. This is a disgusting con job. DON’T TRY THIS RESTAURANT!

We love Claire’s Gallery. My two daughters can’t get enough and it has become our regular home away from home. Claire is attentive and thoughtful and the food keeps us coming back for more. Highly recommended for families, friends or couples up for a cosy evening.

Great Japanese dishes but the serving were very small. I am pretty sure customers would expect the main dish in the bento box should have reasonably amount. Like we ordered wagyu beef bento, the beef such small serving, all I could see was mount of rice, perhaps they should put just normal beef but more generous in serving instead??? But the chicken katsu bento was quite good serving.

Came on a lazy Sunday and had the Teriyaki Salmon Bento box. Bento boxes are quite popular at this place and it was relatively packed. The miso soup that comes with the Bento box was not too salty and hit the spot. The Bento box tasted pretty delicious. Portions may be small to some but it was the right size overall.

The mix of Modern Australian with a hint of Mediterranean into traditional Japanese is just pure artistry on the part of Sushi Master, Chef Charles!Classic Sushi Rolls and Sashimi are feature the freshest catches of the day and are impeccably done. When you read CAULIFLOWER SALAD on the menu, you have pre-conceived ideas of what will happen in the kitchen and it will be absolutely nothing like the serving of astonishment at what’s brought to the table. The rich burgundy from the beetroot petals strikes you as the salad protrudes off the plate into a lotus formation. The dorsal cut of JAPANESE EGGPLANT is about half an inch thick, is pan fried to crisp then grilled. There’s a slight crunch outside and mousse textured inside as you break through with your for enjoying the syrup of their secret sauce, miso paste, parmesan, spring onion and leek.Definitely worth a try! thenextrushmagazine.com
