Been here twice and they still can’t get orders right – the first time I asked for the house smoked salmon meal and wanted to check that it came with two eggs and the waiter said yes but then served it with NO EGGS. after then asking him for the eggs he only brought one. Second time round I asked for the eggs on toast with a side of house smoked salmon (which is a salmon fillet) but instead they gave me store bought smoked salmon. Never coming here again

This is a great spot for lunch. Customer service is good, had the schniztel and that was good too. Would definitely recommend for a quick and quiet lunch on the weekend!!!

Ordered a iced coffee and the Big Balmain breakfast, there was a small confusion with the coffee and the response and quick and excellent. The food was delicious and the ambience of this place is pretty great. At this point this is the best breakfast I have had in Sydney and it was post lunchtime 🙂 . I am so coming back here! thewhatsupguy.in

This was on of the cafes that I’ve wanted to try in Balmain. Came on a Monday morning, the cafe was not too busy but the service here is extremely slow. We took a seat and no one bought out the menu, so I got up to ask if there was table service or not? I find out that there is, and took another serveral mins for the menu to arrive after asking for it at the counter. I guess this cafe is in no hurry for business. We finally got the menu and service seems to have picked up after that. A tad too fast! It seems like pace is not apparent around here. The coffee and food was not bad. Ordered their breakfast gozleme and a soy flatwhite. The coffee was good, and the gozleme was nice, with chunky vegetables and lamb. I can atleast tick this off the bucket list of cafes to try.

Balmain is another beautiful suburb in Sydney that is packed with many nice shops and cafes. It was really hard to choose a place for some brunch as there was a huge selection of choices and I’m very unfamiliar with this area. However, I came across La Cafeier which looked really stunning from the outside, so I decided to try this place. The service was very good and I applaud our waitress who was continually attentive and polite. The food took very very long to come out and we were growing quite impatient but I guess the wait was truly worth it. The food was absolutely delicious and I guess our patience was really rewarded. The burger was spot on and the Mediterranean-style breakfast was just wow… The salad was the highlight It was really good and I was sooo satisfied after this meal I will surely be back again

A bit of a favourite to get a takeaway coffee from as it’s generally well made and the staff are always friendly, which is something to appreciate. Haven’t made it to eat here as yet but it’s always popular so I expect the food to be similar to the coffee. Shall sentence substitute post the dining experience.

Not your usual brunch options but they are delicious! Le Cafeier is a Turkish cafe on darling street with a selection of filling brunch and lunch options that are generous in terms of serving size. We went for breakfast and I had the lamb gozleme – what a brilliant option for brunch. Some of the other options included the falafel breakfast, three cheese omlette and the traditional Turkish breakfast that includes eggs with sucuk, tomato, cucumber, jam, olives, honey and kaymak. Prices are around $20 for these options but they are more filling then your usual brekkie dishes. The coffee is also a hit. If you are solo or if there is only two of you sit outside in the sun and watch the people walk by. They also have great takeaway options at the counter including home made baclava! This cafe was a pleasant surprise and nothing disappoints.
