This one gets a 5! This is a bar with charm and the perfect date spot – especially in winter. Also good for a night out with friends but keep it to a small group. The bar has an old world feel and is a gem on darling street balmain. Be warned there is not much room inside so make a booking or get there early on Friday and Saturday nights. The wine list here is immense! Most certainly describe to the staff what you are after and let them recommend one from around the world. Food can be a little expensive and it’s small portions designed to share but this place is worth it. You can also grab a cocktail and make sure you leave room for a cheese platter at the end of the night. If you want your money’s worth do the Sunday long lunch at $35 for 8 courses it’s a treat. Highly recommend this one as an after dinner spot for cheese and wine.

The food and drink menus have been well thought out and there is an attention to detail that you only get in a small bar like this. This is a great place for a date night or small celebration.
