We went around 8.30 pm so food was not fresh as we got stomachache during our sleep and the waitresses were drying dishes for clean up so loudly that we asked ourself why we here . Staff was reasonably friendly After all we will not go back there again

I have only ever eaten takeaway here but it is fresh and delicious. They don’t skimp on ingredients as many takeaway places do. I think it is very reasonably priced and make a point of going there for a fix of sushi whenever I’m in Balmain.

OK food and not much variety. Very pricey compared to other places. Sushi train with warm option from menu. Given the other closer and better sushi options I tend to give it a miss.

Beautiful artwork in their dishes here. The spicy scallop with a coating of dry seaweed (wheatgrass kind of bitterness to it in case youre wondering) is a standout for me. thenextrushmagazine.com

Easy to find and a quaint place to dineA bit pricey for the quality of food they have hereWe went on a Friday night and it was relatively quiet with only 2 other patrons on the conveyor train, service was goodA couple of the dishes on the train was a bit dry and chewy such as the soft shell crab or teriyaki chocked rollsHowever the fresh rolls that we ordered were fresh and on point Prawn roll – delicious but small details like they left prawn tails on each individual role was a bit annoying Sashimi large – fresh sashimi, the scallops we asked for seared were cooked through and tiny!Green tea ice cream – came in a prepackaged tub and was icy flakey (meaning not rich)I don’t think I would travel here to have Japanese again knowing there are closer and better quality places

Inner city freshness and hustle at this authentic offering of Japenois. Attentive, engaged staff support the broad array of the sushi train, with pretty extensive menu offerings.Suitably terrible Japanese pop music gives the place a feel of downtown Roppongi. Teriyaki salmon delish, so too the yakisoba chicken. Tempura veges good, but eggplant a bit robust for my liking.Very good local.

Ummm yum! Everything was fresh and prices are reasonable. The sizes of the different rolls are inconsistent though. It looks and taste like anything they say is spicy has a dab of chilli sauce on it. One of the better sushi conveyor belt Japanese places I’ve been to in a while
