Recently renamed from its predecessor Monkey Bar, the pub is another attempt of gentrifying an institutional drinking establishment. It doesn’t work. Old man’s boozer, sad really old drunk women, no music, no noise, brightly lit, awkward feel to the place. They’ve got a lot of work to do to make it cool. Their own named beers on tap is just a little try hard, with no descriptors of whether it’s actually brewed for them or just a dodgy rename. Was actually embarrassed to have taken guests there.
