A busy cafe located within Bankstown Sports Club, Cornerstone is brightly lit and offers a mix of banquette seating, regular tables and communal tables with power charging stations. The counter service can be a little off putting, especially when it is busy; you are given a number for hot meals to be brought to your table but coffees and cafes are served from the counter and if everyone else ahead of you has also ordered a hot drink, your hot food could arrive at the table before you do with your coffee. The $8 coffee and cake special is reasonable value and we had a vanilla slice and cappuccino, plus nuggets and chips for the kids
Monday the 19th was the first time I had a meal here, it was the Salt and Pepper Squidand I really enjoyed it.I felt the cafe was a not that cosy unlike the In Touch cafe that was there before, but aside from saying that it had comfortable seating, the only thing is that people might not like is seating at one of their communal tables
I didn’t care much for the poor service I was given by the staff member. I did like the style of the cafe. It had good lighting and it was comfortable. My father inlaw really enjoyed the coffee. I didn’t mind it but I was fuelled by disappointment of the service I got. Surely greeting customers should be the most important part in serving customers – it wasn’t bust at all. An older lady was confused with where to order. Not my job to help direct customers but I did. There were many staff that could’ve noticed that she was confused.
