Not bad for a buffet. Lots of options in terms of hot food, Chinese asian food and dessert. But the range of seafood is almost non existent. We came back on a Sunday and there was more seafood. Just a whole lot of fried foods like spring rolls and fried rice. I thought it was pretty good for a buffet.
Came here with a group of 8. It was my first time dining here. The decor and the look of the dining area is inviting. But that’s about it.We started dining about 30 minutes from their opening time (for lunch). Most of the platters were empty or almost empty, as if it’s almost the closing time. Basically the food was almost gone and not added for a while. The food choices were also limited and tasted below average (some were too salty for my liking). The only food that was enjoyable for me to eat was the sticky date pudding. I have no plan to go back.
Ever since they moved to the new building the whole buffet set up is a joke. Went there on Sunday night, got there at 5.40pm, huge line to get into the restaurant. Then when you finally get in, there is another huge line to get food. Instead of separate food station like how they used to be (like asian food section, fried food section, roast section, salad and cold platter section), everything sort of in a big straight line, and that forced the crowd to line up in one huge line to get food. The line is moving very slowly and what is worst is by the time you reach the food serving area, most of them are empty! And of cause you can’t just wait there for them to refill cause there is a huge line after you. So after good 15-20mins of queuing I can barely get half a plate of food. Food just simply doesn’t refill fast enough. While it is nice to have the new hot plate area for garlic butter beef and prawns, the rest of it seems to shrink in choices. Not much salad to choose from, cold meat platter are totally gone. And what used to be my favorite section, the dessert section, also suffer the same fate, always empty. For years we had been going to this buffet (in the old building), but after tonight experience, I’m sure to say we won’t be visiting it any time soon.. totally disappointed with the new layout and always empty trays.
