This restaurant is well known for its Vietnamese crepes – banh xeo. If you order anything else, to me it is average food. The crepe is crispy, with lots of vegetable and herbs. Space is a bit cramped but staff is attentive. Cheap eats and if you like to try something different to Vietnamese Famous Pho.

This restaurant is renowned for it’s ‘Banh Xeo’, and we were not disappointed. The ‘crepe’ was delicious, with fat free pork, flavoursome shrimp (shell on), and tender squid. The generous saving will delight the most bulging of eyes, and stomachs. We also had the Banh Cuon – it is also nice, but I felt there was a little too gelatinous/stretchy; contrastingly, the Banh Beo was slightly powdery. The Banh Cong was delicious – making me think that this place has a fantastic frying wok.The service was also very quick and very friendly.Overall – Banh Xeo is the order of the day.

Its a small place with just enough room to get to a seat at one of the four long communal tables. The Crispy Skin chicken is served with tomato rice and side salad while the Pork Chop Special with steam rice and shredded pork is a closenwinner too. Its hard to choose between both. Cooked well and good comfort food. I wish theyd switched on the air conditioning the day I was there because its pretty warm there. Try to get a table as far from the steaming kitchen as possible or sit outside. There was probably a 12 minute gap between meals served so maybe specify if u want to eat with your dinner partner at the same time as its very casual. Other than that, friendly service and good food thenextrushmagazine.com

I have been here a few times. The best is the huge rice crepe filled with seafood and pork. They also give you a lot of vegetable to go with the crepe. One of my favorite is the steamed rice roll with assorted ham. The rice roll texture is very smooth.

Stopped by this place to just get a quick feed, after seeing other diners have the banh xeo dish we couldn’t help but order some. Inside is a tiny dining area typical of Vietnamese style restaurants. Service was ok. Yeah had to ask for teacups even after placing our orders. The place wasn’t busy at all but waited 10mins for any attention.Anyways first dish was banh coun. Flat rice noodle roll with mince meat and fried garlic bits, served with sides of greens and the sauce. Nice portion size for the 4 of us it was like an Entree. Taste wise very standard the sauce wasn’t a small flavoursome, maybe because they make a huge batch and just scoop out when even an order is made. Nothing spectacular here. It is after all a quick eat.Quick it wasn’t when it came to our banh xeo, I believe we waited 20mins for it to come out after we had finished our rolls. We waited and watch as the kitchen can be seen with cooks fluttering and moving about, looking like they were doing something. But not actually getting anything done. I don’t know why it takes so long to make? Maybe they make it to order and have to mix the ingredients altogether for the batter if that’s the case I take back everything. Once it did come out though it was a very large sized dish. Lots of greens and the filling was ample. Again the sauce failed this dish. No flavour even after soaking the banh xeo, maybe too diluted. The banh xeo itself could have been eaten by itself with the greens but it needs that sauce!!!! So. A quick eat turned out to be longer than expected and we could of had dinner by the time we finished. Ah well maybe it wasn’t their day, or maybe I’m just way too harsh with my food reviews. I’ll leave you guys to try it out yourselves and decide, good or not, I give this an Ok just below average and would only come back if there was no other food options around. Banh xeo and banh coun are both good dishes just fix the sauce and the service.
