I ‘ve been here plenty of time. This place makes me feel like home!! Full of flavour and spices it’s amazing! I had padang, nasi goreng and the veggie kinds they are always sooo satisfying.
Craved for nasi Padang and decided to pay this place a visit. We ordered nasi goreng babat (level 5), nasi ayam penyet komplit (fried chicken set), and nasi Padang with ayam (chicken) and beef rendang. Everything was totally delicious and very authentic. The taste brings you back to Indonesia. Also the portion is very generous! Theres a bit of a wait for some of the food, but totally worth it! Shout out to Ibu (the lady) who cooked and prepared everything by herself.
After two failed attempts, I finally got the opportunity to try their food. Recommend giving them a call prior to making your trip to avoid disappointment. This joint provides authentic Javanese street food one of the very few in Sydney let alone Western side.Their specialties are : Pecel Lele, Tongseng (Javanese Blank soup), Nasi Padang, Fried duck. They also offer Nasi Gudeg albeit only available on weekends.Since the food is prepared fresh to order, it took a little while to come out but it is worth it. I am not a big fan of black soup so picked their Pecel Lele and Fried duck. The Pecel dish is really nice . First of all they use Jasmine rice which is my favourite. It comes with salad, Tofu and Tempe and let’s not forget the Chili paste. She would ask your preferred level of heat before she start making it on the spot using mortar and pester. Unlike the Pecel Lele, the fried duck fail to impress me. Not only it is a bit dry, it also lacks the flavour I was looking for.Bottomline : Good food. Good service. Good value.
