We came here out of a whim to try something new and we loved ot! Not only they accomodated us without a reservation, but the waitress was really friendly and gave us her recommendations on what to order. We wanted to try the set meny bit with 2 of the 4 at the table with allergies/intolerances of some sort we thought it was going to be a no-no, but to our surprise they accomodated everything and checked and double checked with us if we were happy to have the changes suggested. So most of the dishes came in 3 presentations, set menu unmodified, lactose intolerant modified and egg/peanut allergies modified. All the dishes we received were really tasty, so I have only positive things to say about Bea.
phenom first celebration for hubs birthday weekend at Bea, short for BeaUTIFUL I am certain share style of Pambula oysters (our absolute fave and we knew from first taste that is where they were from but asked the service staff to confirm), clams, pork neck skewer, tuna, duck egg + mushroom, coral trout with lobster in xo sauce, condiments, lobster bisque, and a @starwardwhisky 10th anniversary whisky for hubs, and a umeshu martini for me (and a sparkling rose) everything was stunning, and the service was faultless (even before @chefmattmoran turned up for his lunch date)
The food is pleasant not outstanding but hugely overpriced given its location.Drinks are very pricey too, the starting point for most glasses of wine and cocktails are $15-20.Come for the atmosphere but not food. I wouldnt save up to come here.
