Expensive for ordinary sandwiches, slow service and worst of all the staff just NEVER listen! A simple request like ‘no tomato’ is ignored on every occasion I’ve been here… glad new places are opening as the development progresses because this crap isn’t worth returning to
Located in the canteen under Barangaroo tower 2, Silverbeet offers a range of salads, wraps, rolls. I tend to get their large premade salad for $12 (displayed on the side). The lemongrass beef in particular is amazing.
I’ve only tried their pre-made salads to go. They start from $6 for a small (2 options) and there’s usually 4 varieties available. The salads aren’t mind blowing but are decent for a quick, healthy lunch. I like that they don’t drown the salads in dressing. My usual orders are the chicken and avocado, and the Vietnamese chicken salad.
Have been buying a small salad for $5.00 (two eggs, a handful of sweet potato pieces and a couple of spinach leaves). This morning the price asked was $8.00. A normal size salad is $10.00. The small salad is less than half the size of a full salad. Sorry, it’s good bye from me. Profiteering at its best. Avoid. There is better value elsewhere. Here’s a photo of last week’s $5.00 salad. This week’s was more expensive and smaller too!
Just bought a harissa chicken salad which I was really looking forward to however the salad is absolutely swimming more like drowning in dressing! The salad was meant to have cos lettuce and it has iceberg which is a bit limp – all I can taste is spice and it’s not very pleasant to eat, I hate wasting food but this is going in the bin!
I got an awesome DIY salad here about a month ago and have been trying to recreate the experience since then, without much luck. The portions are getting really disappointing – my salad had one piece of feta cheese and two small pieces of semi dried tomato (seriously, I’m not even exaggerating, I spent ages digging around inside the salad box searching for more – check out the photo attached to this review). The ingredients are tasty and fresh so I keep hoping they’ll sort themselves out, but I’m close to finding another salad bar because I’m getting the shits with them.Check out the photo – this salad was supposed to have olives, semi dried tomatoes, and feta cheese. Lame. For $13 this is seriously inadequate.2 points for the lamb off the spit, which is admittedly delicious.
I ordered the halloumi salad with chicken. Very generous helping but the salad was oily, Mexican chicken was overcooked and tough, and the croutons were maybe a day old.
