I had the Menchi burger with Pork Katsu, Mustard, Tonkatsu Sauce, Mayo, Spanish Onion & Cabbage. Well worth the hype. It was delicious. Buttery bun. Tasty pork katsu patty. Well sauced. Decent service. A must visit when in Sydney.
Ume burger was delicious with great flavours. The meat sauce adds a another dimension to the burger. There’s always a huge line to this place and not much seating so get there early if you want to go for lunch during work hours
We ordered the Ume burger and fries. Tender succulent delicious burger with the best bun and oh so juicy perfectly cooked meat patty. I have to go back to try more. I am a burger fiend and this was the Taj Mahal of burgers. Well done !
After failing in searching for vegetarian food at a festival at Circular Quay, we ended up in Barangaroo craving for a burger.Ume burger, with a vegetarian burger came to the rescue.Well, I can’t complain, we were very hungry and enjoyed the burger and the chips. It was a bit light for me and didn’t fill me up.
I dined here on a Friday night with a friend. I had the Ume Burger, chips with kewpie mayo and an Asahi. The food was served quickly and tasted great. Unfortunately I found it slightly overprirced for what it was as I’ve eaten a similar burger at various other places. It is better suited as a dinner meal as opposed to lunch if you’re looking for something cheap and cheerful.
I tried the Menchi burger and though I appreciate they have tried something unique by putting a Japanese twist on it but it’s not for me. I guess it will appeal to specific taste buds but I’m not sure if the combination of those flavours and ingredients appealed to me specially the tonkatsu sauce and the cabbage. I would recommend them to add some kind of sweetener to that burger and not over experiment with their recipes.
