I’ve eaten here on two separate occasions. Food tasted okay but nothing extraordinary. It was definitely over-priced for the portion sizes that you get. Service was confusing – the boss (?) kept yelling at the wait staff and I felt very sorry for them. Not a comfortable dining experience.

Wanted dumplings and didn’t want to travel far for them. I tried this place, the dumplings were delicious! Dim sims were average. I did takeaway and the service was good, they offered me a seat and a glass of water while I waited. I want to come back here to try their other dishes !

I read all the reviews and were baffled by the good ones. I’ve been in baulkham hills before and after the renovation of this place. The first experience was before it was refurbished and we didn’t even get a table because it was closing in 30 mins and the lady refused to let us have a table. Their business was already bad that time and the lady who served us was rude.. After the renovation we decided to go back to give the food a try. Again, the waitress was the same lady who was rude, didn’t really give us a greeting as we walked in and pretty much just ignored us and the way she showed us our table was as if she was displeased with us coming. We ordered dumplings and beef noodle soup. Both were not so good compared to other Taiwanese places we have been to in Artamon and Burwood. Probably the worst Taiwanese food we had ever eaten because even the frozen dumplings you get from the supermarket tasted better and cheaper than what you get there. The beef noodle soup had an overwhelming herb inside that was not typical of the dish. As for the dumplings, they just werent tasty. We even found a fly in the dish and told the waitress immediately. She came back after awhile saying that they will give us, from what I understood, a new plate of dumplings and will take out the fly in the previous one. Guess what! She came back with the same dish we had previously minus the dumpling the fly was on, and a bowl with one dumpling in it.. I cannot understand how does this place get good reviews and how do they run a restaurant with little knowledge of how to properly treat a customer. If your food is going to be below average, at least be friendlier to people and they might just come back.

Ordered vegetarian meals and came home with meat. Service not great and a long wait time for food. No offer to rectify. Will not be returning or recommending.

Just been renovated with new fittings. Service is friendly but a bit slow. Probably the most authentic Taiwanese food in Sydney. A neighbourhood gem.

Living locally, we noticed the new renovations/extension and and thought we would give it a go as we are dumpling lovers. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. Place looks pretty decent, so I will start with that being a positive so good effort on the renovation. Service was below average with staff not knowing any basics in customer service and being confused. While we were waiting for our order, we noticed many other frustrated customers with issues, waiting on food or not having had their order taken.. Unfortunately, most of the food was below average and was not worth wait. We then had a strange issue with paying as they charge a 2% or more – merchant fee on credit cards, which I found odd and added to the bad experience. (With a tiny, shit hand written sneaky sign). Id like to be positive and say, maybe the experience was bad due to them business extension and not being use to higher volume of customers and tables.. But I can’t, we are talking 10 (ish) tables and they should have been more prepared with enough staff rostered on and enough training on their iPad ordering service – esp for a busy Friday night. They could improve and hope they do, but we wont ever go back.Back to Chatswood for Dumplings for us.Thanks

Terrible, terrible service. We got here at just before 8pm, the restaurant wasn’tt too busy. By 8pm we had ordered. We ordered 12 dumpling pieces and a small dish of noodles. We waited an hour before we got our food. When the food arrived the waiting staff didn’t even put sauses on our table, didn’t even bother to provide plates and just walked off. We had to explicitly ask them for these basic services. 60 minutes for 12 dumplings is 5 minutes per dumpling. I can cook an entire packet of 30 dumplings in 5 minutes. Stay at home and just make the dam dumplings yourself, and save the hour. STAY FAR AWAY.
