Was in desperate need of an hsp one cold evening a few weeks ago. My friends and I had heard rave reviews on Hi Kebabs at Baulkham Hills and thought we would give it a try.The greeting here was really solid, the guys were very warm and friendly.We arrived pretty late one Thursday evening, just after 8.30pm (they close at 9pm on Thursdays) I’m not sure if it was our late arrival (just before the stores closing time) that made the hsp not as great as usual?We ordered a mixed $30 ‘HSP 4 sharing’ with cheese and the holy trinity (half of it without chilli). The chips were not as hot and crunchy as a few other popular kebab/hsp places I have been to and the meat was a tad dry.It may have just been a bad time for us to go, I’ve definitely had better HSP’s around Sydney. However, this is one of the places closer to home for me. If I’m in the area and in need for an HSP, it still is worth a try!
I’ve been on the hunt for the best HSP in Sydney, and after sampling a selection of different ones, extending from the inner west to Blacktown, this is STILL the best HSP. The mega size one is great value for money, I usually get the mixed snack pack with garlic sauce (yes, I’m a purist) and share it with my other half…cheap feed and perfect hangover cure.
