This was a throwback lunch review at Chicken & Fishhead on the other Sunday. This is a boutique cafe in Beecroft that opens till later on Sunday afternoon (perfect for lunch after church ). However, I have to say their food on menu is slightly over priced. Food was okay, but tend to be a bit oily. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe, simple and cosy.
Weird owner. Always grumpy, his wife and the other servers are always impolite and don’t know much about the menu, or maybe they just don’t care? I can’t tell. Food can be nice and most isn’t overpriced, I’ve ordered breakfast there twice and BOTH times there were many pieces of egg shell in the eggs? The food is rather basic, nothing special but not terrible either. Coffee is average on a good day, the times when I’ve been there the soy milk is always burnt.

Local Dinner. Hi, I’ve been here a few times and planning to go again sometime soon since both my boyfriend and I love eating here.The food is really good, service is great, and for those of you hesitating about the name of the cafe it’s an inside joke between the owner and his daughter, which i think is totally adorable.The place itself has a lovely, calm vibe to it. Been here a few times, but i will come back many more.
I am writing this review as I sit inside Chicken and Fishhead with my boyfriend on a Sunday morning. We have been waiting for almost 45 mins for our breakfast. There appears to be only 1 chef in the kitchen cooking for a cafe full of people.
Had dinner here tonight. Seriously yum! Spagantini with prawns and such a tasty sauce! Recommend this place to anyone for anytime of day… Breakfast, lunch or dinner! I’ve loved every time I’ve been!The cute kids clothing and accessories store at the back is definitely worth a wander through. Great area for kids to play and do some coluoring while parents relax with a coffee. Great, friendly staff.Always a positive experience!!
