This little bakery has charm and always smells delicious. They stock everything you would expect of a bakery/patisserie store. Bread, pastries, cakes, quiches, hot food and cronuts are all visible from the window display wall overlooking Plumer Road. I am massive fan of their ham, and cheese croissant. While it is not as cheap as picking up the food from other stores, this is a place where you can grab a quick something for the weekend or the much needed pastries to get you through your work day. Parking along this strip is hit and miss – head onto Balfour if you dont mind a stroll around the leafy neighbourhood.
Great bakery in Rose bay bought couple of quiches and snail pastry. Quiches weren’t warm but it was also not oily and really tasty. Snail wasn’t overly sweet with just right amount of sultana and it was baked crunch and buttery. Enjoyed every bite! goodtasteguide.blogspot.com

Conflict Cakes. I regularly go to La Bretagne Patisserie, however my children, husband and I avoid the days when Dominque the shop assistant is working. She is such a nasty and unprofessional employee. She doesn’t even bother to explain the various pastries or cakes and makes inappropriate comments. The atmosphere changes when she is around. We enjoy going when the other staff members work, they are delightful. Terri and Rami are always helpful and know their products well. It such a shame with good pastries, tarts, croissants and cakes that one individually can make such an impact and make you avoid the shop. Something needs to be done!
Real French patisserie. This is a real French Patisserie, with delicious croissants, and small versions of everything, and its excellent value. Much better than the gigantic bready things other places call croissants, these are buttery and light and crisp as they should be.Can’t go past the almond croissants, and freshly cooked Quiche.
Been coming here for 10 years now and still the best choc croissants I’ve had in Sydney!!
Icon of the Easrern Suburbs…. Icon of the Eastern Suburbs. Baked fresh daily, La Bretagne successfully brings a taste of France to carb lovers. I love the brioches and chocolate cakes. The baguettes are great fare for a weekend brunch. The window is full of fun and colourful things for the kids to enjoy. And the best thing about La Bretgne is the smell of the bakers at work in the wee hours of the morning wafting throughout the neighbourhood.
