Despite being just a small chicken shop, Plumer road has a pretty extensive menu, consisting of dishes not all of which consist of chicken. GREAT value for money, I swear this place is so much cheaper than many other places in the area. The BBQ chickens here are always yummy and fresh, as are all the other dishes. Healthy and great value, the perfect spot for lunch if you’re in the area.
This place always has the yummiest roast chickens. The stuffing is also especially delicious. When ordering hot chips make sure you aka for extra chicken salt. Perfect for a Sunday barbecue.
I haven’t even finished and I know I’m going back tomorrow. Got a 1/4 chicken, some s&v tenders, roast veggies and a small mac n cheese that I would bathe in if it were an option. There is so much to choose from it makes me anxious. It’s home style cooking that will make your pants bulge a little
Great devil wings. Came here for lunch and had the quarter chicken and devil wings. Both of these were delicious and also I also had the, pineapple juice which was wonderful. The staff were friendly and the place offered great ambience.
Plumer Road Chickens – All American BurgerThis weeks burger comes from a small suburban chicken shop in Rose Bay. Famous for their BBQ chooks, they also have a Burgers of the World menu of which the All American was my burger of choice. What sets the All American apart from the others are the grilled onions, cheese and American mustard, of which their was enough but lacked the other toppings, tomato and lettuce.A few let downs, the damper roll and the crucial bun to filling ratio. Now Im not a fan of floury bread rolls and it was probably too thick for the quantity of fillings, so each mouthful was quite bready. These two factors brought the overall rating down.On the plus side, the meat was grilled well and had a proper meaty flavour. The sauces were generous and tasty. The burger was very filling, so when you finished you felt like you really had a meal.The location was also a positive, plenty of parking and with the usual chicken shop accompaniments, salads, pastas, veges etc it allows you to grab a burger while picking up something else for the kids or partner.
