A good option for potato lovers though I was very disappointed. Quantity and quality don’t justify the amount paid. Chips smelt odd and had very distinct texture due constant reuse of fried oil. There is scope to introduce other flavours too.
Tbh nowhere near as good as what I remember from the Philippines maybe because they’re not as generous with the seasoning as they are in the Phils. Cheddar is always the number 1 flavour you can’t say you’ve tasted potato corner unless you try cheddar it’s the bombBut yeah get at least 3 staff working there during busy hours because service is too slowAnd be generous with seasoning please ehehe
Nostalgia is the word that best describes this place. A franchise from my home country, the Philippines, this shop boasts of flavour coated chips, which is basically non-existent in Australia’s food scene. So it is not surprising that this shop flourishes in the heart of Blacktown as Australians, in general, love chips. Moreover, Filipinos all over Australia visit this shop just to get a piece of their home country. What I love most about their menu is the addition of the chicken and chips, which is not available in the Philippines. Their chicken tastes like Jollibee’s Chicken Joy (the most famous Filipino food chain). You can choose your own style of fries, flavour and size, which is great. As the saying goes, to each their own applies when you order your food here. This is a definite must-try joint.
Nostalgic! Potato corner brings back memories of Manila to me. It is everywhere in Manila and so happy that it is now here in Sydney. French fries coated with all the flavour goodness of barbecue, cheese, sour cream, etc. If fries is not your thing, you can switch it to criss cut, loopy, tater tots or sweet potato fries. And they also serve fried chicken!Would be best if the fries were actually crispy and not soggy.
A Filipino street food joint franchising in Blacktown? Has got to be the most lucrative and smartest idea out!Their fries taste similar to the ones from the Philippines, not overly salty or powdery either. Their dipping sauces is something they don’t have in the Philippines; also something that draws me to come back. It’d be good if they expanded the menu.
Suprisingly they don’t sell jacket potato’s hereWhat they go sell is fried chicken pieces (which was better than expected) and various fried chips What makes this unique is that the fries can come with different seasoning, remember McDonalds shake a fries? Same thing!I tried the sour cream flavour and it was nicePrices were s bit expensive for what you get though one piece of chicken I had was huge!Service a little slow with only 2 workers on during the school holidays,Located at the bottom food court at Westpoint shopping centre it’s not a place for the health conscious but a nice guilty pleasure
