Can’t believe I am back this soon. This time tried the chicken roll and asked for more carrots and chilies. All good. Would have scored the same as my previous comment is still valid.============ In the freezing Winter morning, thought about the warm meat ball pork roll and by chance saw this pork roll corner near Blacktown station. It was either I was too hungry or the pork roll is smaller than normal I managed to finish the entire roll before realising that I haven’t taken the pictures.. Must mention that the content is actually as expected for 4 dollar pork roll. If only they put in more carrots and radish and make the bread a bit crunchier. The service was great too. Will definitely come back before the Winter ends.
Station hot bread is another notorious takeaway shop located right inside Blacktown station, and has been here since I could remember. Prices seem to change every now and then. Polite and prompt service, fresh salads and rolls, and crispy hot meat pies.
When served with a genuine smile regardless of one lacking a standard in customer service, that contributes to a positive eating experience. The Banh mi here is affordable and cheaper than Campsie though had an interesting tangy sauce in it that I wasn’t a fan of. Ingredients were fresher than what I’ve seen in Blacktown. The man that served me was very nice, would definitely give it another go maybe without that particular sauce.
Tried the cheese and bacon roll (just ok,the bread was fluffy) mushroom quiche (not sure if there was any egg in this but still tasted pretty good) pork roll (had tomato in it,it’s a little above average) had also the veggie pastie and the chicken pastie, both are big in size and it was a but better than ok. Prices are reasonable but non pork roll items I had are huge which makes it good value, nil issues with service, there is no tables or chairs it’s strictly a take away place
