I came here on a cool Sunday evening with my fiance.Food: I had the angel hair pasta with seared tuna which was fantastic! I’ve never had such juicy tuna steak in pasta and it was superbly coupled with capers and chilli. My fiance had the king trout which was perfectly cooked and balanced with ground olive/mushroom and asparagus. The pickled onions also added a punch of sweetness and acidity.Service: really nice staff and rapid food – less than 10 min from the time of ordering. We sat down, ordered and finished in less than 35 min which is a record for us. Front of house also very willing to let us use our restaurant choice card.Value: this is where I have some reservations. The pasta was $32 which is a bit steep for pasta IMO, even with fresh tuna. The king trout was $37 too and there wouldn’t have been more than 200 g. I get you are paying for the view of Bondi beach but the value for money isn’t quite there on what we ordered.Overall, I loved it. Great food, nice view and professional service. Would give it 4.5 but I can’t give half stars 🙁 only drawback is the cost
A wholesome meal. Spanner crab linguine was probably 7/10, the chips 8.5/10 and crispy Brussels sprout salad was well balanced. Loved the dessert. The gooey chocolate tart was like a chocolate fondant encased in a crunchy tart shell. One of my favorite desserts with a little twist was refreshing. The ricotta donuts were large and crunchy on the outside although the inside was a little doughy. Maybe if theyd made them a bit smaller it would have been better. The service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely come back
