Such a shame these guys are asleep at the wheel. We got no service, when I walked to the bar after ten minutes to order drinks and check if we order at the bar or not I was abruptly told to sit down. Flat beers were slapped on the table, my poor bro had to sit in spillage i until we realised no staff were cleaning their own mess and wiped up the mess the bar tender made. I love guacamole but when it’s brown you have to wonder why do you make guac three days before you serve it? The tacos had crunch except it was all batter and little fish, maybe they are testing the seafood diet, you can’t see food that’s seafood. I think you pay $16 at North Bondi Fish for exceptional tacos and you’re 20 m from the beach, such a better place to go .It’s a pity cause I know people here but the food, drinks and service is appalling
Stopped in here for some hot wings and sweet potato fries. The fries were excellent – perfectly crispy and accompanied with a wasabi mayo. The wings were nice but maybe a bit too sweet for my liking. Couldn’t have more than three. But overall a cute venue to visit for a drink.
I visited tonight for a friends birthday, and it was a great experience. The staff were delightful, knowledgeable and friendly. I had the salmon main and it was excellent. Also the wine recommendation from the barman was perfect. Fantastic place, small and intimate with good background music if you chose to filter into that without being dominating. I would definitely return! Thanks guys!!

Mouldy Bread. Green mould all over the bread at this restaurant. Do not eat here. How do people serve mouldy bread in the 20th Century? These people are after a Chefs Hat – what a joke! How is their food prep? Do they even care? They offered us free chicken wings and a free glass of wine once we complained…..
Aggressive rude staff. There are so many better places to go in Bondi where you don’t have to put up with the rude aggressive service you get at the anchor. How these guys have jobs in the hospitality industry is beyond me. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else these guys don’t deserve your dollars
The floor manager was so rude to me last night.. Horrible person. If you don’t like your job, do something else, and preferably don’t do it in a misfits tshirt, what a disgrace to punk rock you are! Also, when spending $26 on two glasses of wine, don’t tell me you’ve run out of glasses and offer me a tiny tumbler and then a dirty red wine glass?! The bartender put the glass on the bar, I told him it was dirty. He disagreed. I then took the glass and poured the remnants of red wine from a previous user onto a napkin to show him. He then mustered up the energy to kindly wash it for me. Gross.
