Cute, tropical setting with excellent service that makes this place a great place to be even in the winter. Safe food choices that are pretty standard to modern Australian restaurants but does have some nice surprises. We got the set menu (65 pp) which includes:- Salt & pepper cauliflower: 5/5. Very rich in flavour and a great start to the dinner – my favorite – swordfish carpaccio: 4.5/5. Always been a fan of carpaccio and this one does not disappoint- spring vegetable house-made gnocchi: 4.5/5. Again, always loved gnocchi and this one was no exception- nose tail lamb / charcoal grilled Fremantle octopus: 3/5. the waitress kindly gave us half a portion of each as I am pescatarian. While the fettuccine is pretty flavourful, unfortunately the taste of the octopus was a little masked by the XO sauce. This dish is also on the heavier side – bombe Alaska: 2/5. This is with chocolate ice cream, which makes this dessert excessively sweet
We had breakfast in Bondi and ordered from their small ranged menu. We ordered the big breakfast, the veggie fry up, corn fritters and I had the salmon and egg scramble omelette. Omelette is very buttery but it was balanced with salmon. Service was lovely by our waitress. Would like to come back for dinner options.
