Located conveniently at Bondi Junction, this cute cafe on the corner of Oxford St. and Holly St. is a great alternative to brunch places located inside the malls with its friendly neighbourhood cafe vibes. We stopped here on a sunny Saturday morning as we were on our way to a shopping trip at the nearby Westfield, and it was a great start to our weekend. We had the: 1. Watermelon, mint and apple juice – I only tried one of their fresh pressed juice, and it did not disappoint. This combination intuitively works but I was still surprised at how refreshing it is. The natural flavours blended well together and it was easy to drink without being excessively sweet. Definitely recommend on a summers day or post-workout. 2. Chilli Scram – scrambled eggs with fresh chilli, oyster mushrooms, kale, and chilli flakes on sourdough toast. Such a simple and classic combination yet always so satisfying. The sourdough was a little hard to bite into, but I loved the taste of the scram and the chilli added an extra zest to it. 3. Smoked Salmon – this came with beetroot eggs which gave the eggs a dark pink ring around the surface. The flavours of the beetroot and the egg didnt necessarily marry very well together, but the smoked salmon was still quite good. 4. Banana bread – OMG their banana bread is to die for. It is actually the best banana bread Ive had. We ordered this on a whim as we were not 100% full, and we were so glad we did. The banana bread is just the right amount of spongy and buttery. If I worked nearby, I would actually just come here and get the banana bread for my coffee / pastry break. It will most likely brighten up the rest of your day.Overall solid food that is not standout but still satisfying, cosy ambiance where the locals seem to chill at, with the added benefit of being at a convenient location that makes it an easy stop.
