I quickly sneaked in for a quick bite while waiting for the Mrs….. one word can describe my experience – Yummy I was surprised how good and tasty Ryu was.Staff friendly, food fantastic – I couldnt fault the dishes I had.Will be back for round 2 – with the Mrs 🙂
Not the best variety of sushi on offer but their udon is one of the best I’ve tried. There is a lot of beef for the beef udon and the flavours are great. The staff wasn’t that attentive but still friendly.
Food delicious, service good. They have a 2 way radio system happening but it didn’t stop the fact that I had to wait to order a drink for 10 minutes. The place is quite chaotic. I asked for a quiet table and the waiter said there isn’t such a thing. Fair enough – we are in the middle of a ‘beehive’ of a mall. I would absolutely come back. The food was fresh and delicious. My only suggestion – more smiles and continuity of service. Other than that – great job team Ryu.
I’ve had a lot of nigiri, hand rolls, and sashimi in my life. This is the first sushi train-type restaurant I’ve been to. Very friendly and attentive staff had us seated immediately. The choices were plentiful. We ended up having salmon nigiri, small cucumber hand rolls, and seaweed salad, amongst other delights. They have some of the best pickled ginger I’ve eaten. Clean, and welcoming environment. A great place to go and relax before a movie.
Despite past reviews, seems like this place is under new management or big improvements have been made. Friendly attentive staff, generous portions and very clean. Would definitely go back!
At the top of Bondi junction this is a fancy looking version of a sushi train. Near the cinema, easy and i grab something eat in or take away. There wasn’t much going around the train, but you can order to be made for you. I just got chicken and cucumber which was nice. You can also get udon or bento boxes etc if you eat at the tables. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
Lots of staff but very little service. Limited selection of sushi on the train but it was fresh and tasty when it arrived. Definitely better sushi options in Westfield Bondi Junction.
