Review 2.5 stars. Looks can be deceiving! This place appears to be a fine dining Chinese restaurant, based on the decor, menu, fancy seafood tanks/dishes and the price of some of their meals; but it was far from that. We ordered the prawn wonton soup which was salty as and the bbq rice option with the soy chicken. The chicken was bland and had no flavour. I was highly disappointed, I can get the same quality/ if not better quality food and at a quarter elsewhere. Definitely wont be coming back.
Located in Westfield Bondi Junction in their restaurant precinct on the upper floor. Service can be direct but good nonetheless. Started off with some steamed dumplings. Mix of vegetarian, seafood, and pork. Some were better than others. We had duck three ways which was served as a Peking Duck then as a Duck San Choy Bau then the remainder just as itself. It was all very tasty. We then got the Shantung Chicken With Pineapple (first time Ive ever seen it served with pineapple) and also Fried Rice. There was more than enough food between us (large doggy bag required and they charge for containers for takeaway). Finished off with some steamed Green Monster sesame buns. They were fun and quite tasty.Overall the food is quite nice and a good dining option if youre shopping or watching a movie within the area.
Seek for good yumcha in Sydney?!?!!!Highly recommend come to try at Zilver Bondi then you would forget any other yumcha that you try in Sydney Very good and tasty !!
3.5/5Ordered some prawn dumplings and steamed scallop for entrees, lemon chicken, crispy chicken, and a mushroom and tofu pot as mains between 4 people. They served the entrees together first and then the mains together, which was nice. The sauce for the lemon chicken was served seperately, so the breaded chicken was not entirely soaked in lemon sauce, which was a little bit disappointing. The portion of the crispy chicken and the tofu pot was good, so we left satisfied. The quality of the food was like your average Chinese restaurant, maybe a little bit better, as they put some thought in presentation. We might try some other dishes when we return next time.
