I adore this place!The staff are always friendly and helpful. There’s this one staff member who doodles something small on the coffee cup – really sweet. It’s definitely a place to find some healthy alternative foods, vegan and vegetarian options such as agave nectar, rice malt syrup – perfect for a place like Bondi. There’s loads of options to chose from in terms of beverages – coffee is consistent and great (one of the best on Bondi road) and I believe they do double shots. I had a matcha latte yesterday with soy / so creamy and the tea was mixed well. They have a front counter with a few quite bites like protein balls, salads, pies, and my favourite spinach & cheese sausage roll.Note: it’s kind of like a mini grocery gourmet market similar to about life. They also have cookbooks, a small window seating area, nuts and seeds by the kilo, grocery bags.
Before there was About Life there was the Health Emporium, an organics and wholefoods store in the days when it wasn’t trendy. It still has a good range of groceries and greens but also does ready made meals to eat in (very limited counter seating) or to go. This is a cafe for the health enthusiast rather than the instagrammer, good for those days when your body is crying out for something a bit more nutritious than a Nutella ball milkshake.
