Not only good food but also generous servings, nice family environment and friendly service, could not ask for more. A great place to take friends when you dont want to cook at home. Now under new management since I was last there.
This is our local pub so being walking distance from home is a bonus! Great idea to have a kids area so that we can get ten minutes of uninterrupted eating completed when our meals come. Service is fairly good, quick delivery of meals and a good menu selection. Prices are fair and reasonable compared to other similar establishments in the area and kids eat free on Sunday’s which is a bonus. Each time we have eaten here we have cleared out plates so no problem with the food. We have enjoyed pasta, steak, seafood – a wide range of items from the menu. Don’t go here if you want a romantic and quite night out but if you are looking for a clean and well presented pub with a good friendly vibe then try this place.
When most other pubs/restaurants charge about ~$10 for a meal and you are charging $25+, the disparity becomes very noticeable. Or that’s what my group thought when they stepped into the place and looked at the menu (and promptly left). Apart from the nice decor, I don’t know how this place gets any business!
Bone in sirloin steak ( $28) had really nice char but inside very raw and chewy…I’m guessing it had been frozen. Pepper brandy sauce was amazing. Mash needed more butter. My pet hate is pubs that charge high prices for steak n tgen serve them with steamed veg that have no butter or garlic or taste. Why ?…no one wants this !!!! Gfs chicken breast was just OK….overcooked in the middle and not as nice as how I cook it at home . Caramel tart was quite nice. Overall a bit disappointing…. But some people love this place.
