DO NOT EVER GO HERE TO CELEBRATE IF YOURE ASIAN!!- Went here for Mothers Day yesterday. I should have known we were in for a terrible experience when I booked online for 4 people, confirmed it by phone but when we got there the booking for for 2.- We were seated and some time passes; about 20 minutes so I tried to wave down the waitress but ignored twice, as shes looking our way- three of the mains came out and my dad was waiting for his. About 15 minutes passed and I waved down the waitress to ask where his order was. She went off, got it and made the excuse – it was there but no one brought it out. Its your job to bring it out!- Mains were done and more time passes, so I waved down the waitress. She was walking towards me but veered right at the last minute so I tapped her on the arm for attention. Ignored again!- We ordered tea with our dessert. Tea was brought out WITHOUT any hot water!!- Because it was Mothers Day, strawberries were served to the tables before dessert. Let me correct that, strawberries were served to the OTHER tables except ours! We were served dessert and I asked the waitress about the strawberries and she, again, tried to make an excuse Thatll be served after your bill is paid. What the hell? Everyone got theirs before dessert and we have to pay before we get ours? And she does get the strawberries but then she just throws it down the table!!- Ive dined in restaurants around Europe, the US and Asia; and the waiter we had in this place is the rudest weve ever encountered – a woman with bleached short hair. We were seated Table 6 on May 14 at 12.45pm, booking under Chris. Numerous times I tried to get her attention as she was walking towards us but shed pretend to not see. Judging by the service we received, compared to the other patrons, seeing as we were the only Asians there; she was racist.WORST SERVICE EVER AND NEVER COMING BACK!!
Rude staff, was here for Mother’s day today. The waitress who served us is racist! We’ve been to alot of really good fine dining restaurants around Sydney, been living here for more than 20 years, travelled around europe and US and we’ve never experienced such bad restaurant service only in this place. Seriously take your money somewhere nice, the food is not exceptional just average. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY in this place.
Old fashioned service in a sweet way. Ladies all get a rose at end of meal. Seafood isnt bad. Deserts a slight letdown. View of beach is nice.
This is the rudest restaurant I’ve ever been to in Brighton. I live in NY and came home for the holidays to celebrate my birthday at this restaurant. I nudged my family to try something different and regret it forever. My father asked the waiter to take a photo of us as he was serving our drinks, he looked at my dad and just walked off. There was no one in the restaurant, (which seems always to be the case). On top of that, I found a hair in my dad’s porterhouse steak! The food was ok, but the rudeness of establishment just made the food unbearable to enjoy. I tried waiting a few days to calm down before writing this, but DO NOT EVER GO HERE TO EAT OR CELEBRATE ANYTHING. We decided to leave the awful ambiance despite the view, and opted for the Ice Creamery across the road to finish our desserts. Trust me, having been in the restaurant industry in NYC…YOU DO NOT WANT TO GO HERE!
Great service, great location, the food is always good but the menu has never changed! we’ve been going there for years and it is always the banal, classic sea food menu that you would expect from an average restaurant on the water, its pity given their potential.
Great service and food was great overall. I had the hot seafood share plate with my brother and we would have loved to have had more of a mix of seafoods on the plate i.e. Baby octopus or squid rather than 3 types of fish fillets with one scallop and prawn each. Banoffee pie for dessert was exquisite.
First time visit with clients. The food was fantastic! The waitress was nice but a little overbearing often interrupting us mid discussion. When I went to pay the bill she asked me if I was going to leave her a tip and when I said I couldn’t due to our company policy she was visibly unimpressed! Service was very different after that!!
