Busy place on the Brighton Strip. Came here for a girly catch up. We were seated by the lady manager and our drinks order taken quickly. Food wise we shared some mezze including the spanakopita, Greek salad and halloumi chips. The chips were interesting, nice texture, served fried but didn’t really love the sweetness on the top. It’s like they added honey. Without the sweetness, the dish would have been a stand out. Greek salad was beautiful and well dressed. Spanakopita was good. Mains we shared both lamb and chicken souvlaki. Chicken was better than the lamb. Was juicy and nicely marinated. Seasonings on the chips were also very nice. I would have liked more sauce with the dish. Not enough tzazkiki to enjoy with both the bread and meat. Service was attentive and menu was big. Would come back for some other dishes. Yum.
I mark Greek places pretty harshly but this place really ticked all the boxes for me. Only the kotosouvli I didnt enjoy due to overpowering taste it had but everything else was fantastic. Greek Salad, haloumi, pitta bread – the pitta bread was incredible. The loukaniko also outstanding. We had a seafood platter for 2 and it was great, the Greek beers also went down a tread
My friend and I waited to be seated on arrival, after several minutes of standing around with waiters walking right by I had to approach a waiter myself and ask if we could be seated. Getting a waiters attention was very difficult as we were seated outside & asking him questions was even more painful as he could barely understand English.. needless to say due to the language barrier the waiter misunderstood our question and surprise surprise the order came out wrong.. when asking the manager why the order was wrong, instead of apologising for the error he insisted that this is what we had ordered despite not even being present when the order was placed.. the original waiter was then called over and acknowledged his error, apologised & took the plate away.. nevertheless the manager did not apologise but rather shifted blame onto his staff who at the very least had the courtesy to apologise for the mistake. To top this all off we asked to have our untouched trio of dips & pita bread packed take away. We were then handed one cardboard box with all three dips & pita bread chucked on top of each other.. again we attempted to discuss this with the manager who replied with this is how we pack here.. (see photo)Overall the food was not great & overpriced considering, the service was extremely poor & the ambiance was mediocre & noisy to say the least.. I would definitely not recommend this place to anybody & I would really advise management to up their customer service. Based on my experience I certainly will not be back!
Worst experience, they forced me and my friends into a banquet at $45 per person and blamed it on us and refused to allow us to just order what we wanted. Instead we had to eat their banquet meal which was an issue for me because I’m vegan. I asked if I could just sit with my friends not eat and not pay the $45 yet they insisted I pay $45 even though I couldn’t eat anything on the banquet menu. So the owner said he would make me something vegan and came out with this poor excuse for a main meal. A plate of sauted carrots and eggplant is not worth $45. The banquet meal according to my friends was average also. The owner clearly cares more about his pride than customer satisfaction.
What an awesome place to have a great meal near the beach. The atmosphere and staff were friendly. We ordered 3 dips the eggplant, red pepper and pink roe. All lovely and perfect with the pita bread. We also had the saganaki which was amazing. We also ordered the lamb and pork share platter which was plenty for 3 adults. Would recommend this place for a lovely lunch on the beach.
Been here twice and never dissapointed had the trio of dips and the chicken skewers with chips greek salad and pita bread. My friend had the same
I’m a sucker for Greek and this place really bring the goods! The salt and pepper calamari and haloumi cheese starters are a must, and the lamb shoulder for main, well let’s just say you can’t leave here without it! It’s so tender, it literally is falling off the bone as it is served to you! I will recommend that if you want starters, to share the the lamb should between two for your main as the portion is huge! You defiantly won’t leave this place hungry. If you are planning doing dinner on a Friday night or the weekend, make sure you book as it does get really packed, and be prepared to pay as the prices are a bit expensive. Totally worth it though as the food is quality!
