Lovely and friendly staff. We ordered poached eggs, which were fully cooked all the way through. Unfortunately the vinegar was very strong and went through the whole meal. Quite pricey for what we got.

Dine here whenever I visit Broken Hill. It’s a nice, if noisy, place for dinner. The cuisine is decent for the most part, except for some rather odd choices on occasion. Breakfast is best, however. The coffee tends to be on the weak side, so ask for an extra shot when you order. When Andrew, the manager, is on duty the service improves dramatically.

Had a gorgeous night at S-Que.How beautiful to be situated by the water. Though some of the decor is a little bit ~obsCuRe~ (e.g. the black tassels down the windows) I kind of like it and it lends itself well to the clean, contemporary vibe S-Que gives off. E N T R E EWe shared a pumpkin bruschetta. A classic mix of flavours from pumpkin, pesto, goats cheese and caramelised onion. Long swathes of spring onion, this was yum. Though I’m not sure it needed all of it, it was delish MAINI had the prawns with coconut rice. Seafood was excellently cooked. The rice had caught on the bottom of whatever it had been cooked in but I like that so I felt like I lucked in. Lots of capsicum, lots of subtley spicy sauce, SO many prawns. Value for money if you ask me.We had great service, and a great night.

Located in the Ibis Hotel, S-Que is probably one of the only restaurants in Broken Hill with a pool view. It’s quite a nice dining space and I’m sure dining next to the pool would be an good experience in warmer weather, though for now, indoors near the heater is good too!Prices are a little on the high side although their specials are better value. We ordered the steak, egg and chips ($24) special which was a good serving- eggs were nice and the  red wine jus was great. The steak was quite overcooked though, especially considering we ordered it medium-rare. The meat was rather chewy and dry which was disappointing. The other steaks on the menu are much pricier, but I’m guessing they’re better than this. The tiger prawns on the sizzling plate was nice and the coconut rice it was served with was tasty also. The fried mars bar was an interesting dessert though I think it could have done with a lighter batter.Overall, we were a little disappointed with the food though we did enjoy the atmosphere. Service was excellent also!
