There was no wet paint, but definitely delicious food.Food 9.5 / 10Service 10 / 10Atmosphere 8.5 / 10Overall a great and enjoyable night. There was 6 of us at this restaurant to celebrate a birthday.I’ve been to a few restaurants nearby however unsure why, but never visited this establishment.Upon arrival we were shown to our table. After seeing that our group was too big to the table arrangement, the lovely gentleman (waiter) was able and kind enough to move us to a much bigger table.Service is very quick and prompt here. The waiters are all familiar with the menu and were able to recommend dishes. Aside for being professional they are all also very friendly. Surprisingly, being such a large restaurant, there was 3 waiters who were taking orders, serving food and assisting customers and overall did a absolute perfect job.Food – Food honestly it was a slim short of perfectness.Entree – We had a 3 different meals. Entree 1 was calamari served on a potato cake. I’ve had a lot of seafood dishes in my time however this calamari dish was one of my absolute favourite. The calamari was cook perfectly and it was melting in your mouth. The potato cake was soft and full of flavour. The dish was greatly complemented with (I think) in house aioli sauce.Second entree dish was Bruschetta. We had ordered 3 serving of this. 1 serving had goat cheese. A great meal often starts from the base or from the first ingredient. I don’t know what they had put in the sourdough bread but oh my! it was delicious. I know you are probably reading this thinking it is just bread….. but the last few bites I took some of the tomato off and just had the bread on it’s own. There was nothing wrong with the ingredients on top of the bread as I did have these also, but just the bread was delicious. The third Entree dish was Chips. You are probably thinking no much can be said… but with chips often they come very oily. Well not here! We were sitting with eye contact of the kitchen and saw how the chips were being drained so they weren’t oily and the way they were seasoned. They were served with gravy which was a great compliment. The main meals were Lamb Shoulder which the meat was just falling of the bone. It was served with a nice yogurt mint sauce which I think need a bit more as there was too much meat. Yes… I said it, there was too much of the main ingredient. (hence the 9.5/10 review). Other meals were Cajun chicken that was juicy and finally the fish of the day which was a grilled Barra (I think it was a Barra or Salmon – Can’t recall). All meals were greatly cooked. I read the chef I believe has been at this restaurant since 1999 and you can clearly see he takes pride in his cooking and why he has been employed for this long. Food was just perfect.Atmosphere – I gave this a 8.5 out of 10 because of two things only. 1- The aircon was facing down aiming at people. I appreciate this is to keep the restaurant cool however when it is directed at you (I don’t mean aiming at one purposely), it does get quite cold and somewhat irritating. 3 people on our table had this problem, however we oversaw this matter as the food was too good for us to enjoy and forget the aircon. I do admit, once I got in my car I actually turned the heater one just to warm up a bit.I did overhear the table behind us and next to us mention the aircon. Perhaps the restaurant managers can leave it turned on but aiming up.Overall, this restaurant is a great place to dine at. Food was absolutely amazing and delicious. We did not have to wait long for our food and unlike some other restaurants where there is a lag, when the food was ready, it was brought to you warm straight away. One thing I appreciated very much was that all of our food was all brought out at the same time so we didn’t have to wait and we all enjoyed our meals together.I look forward to dining here again.
