Awesome Evening. What a great night out. Our party of 6 started the evening off with a glass of wine nestled in the leather lounges in front of the huge open fire place…perfect on a cold frosty night! Dinner was absolutely mouth watering with great attentive service. Will definitely be back!
Getting into their groove. We’ve been here a number of times, with small and large groups. While the food has never let us down, sometimes the service has been a bit hit and miss – food taking a long time to come out, uneven portions for different people despite ordering the same meal, or being unable to get service. But this seems to have been addressed, and our latest visit was fantastic. The waiter was attentive and sweet, the food came quickly and was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic (huge fire and leather couches in winter anyone?)I can recommend the local Gidleigh sausages
Too much too little. A very disappoiting meal last night for the cost involved . I ordered their saddle back pig special and was looking forward to it . When it arrived it was the size of an entree and being on a table of nine everyone said I drew the short straw on the meals. Don’t know how they can get away with charging $35 for a tasteless and undercooked pork with no crackling no mash or even chips. I suggest you go to the Blind Duck for a great meal for a great price.
Unhappy. The food and service at the Lake George hotel is appalling. There has been so much work put into the look of the place and it is sad that the same thought and effort hasn’t been put into the menu or service.The signature dish appears to be the local steak but it is not worth the price. The service staff are either rude or seem to have no experience. The open air approach (large folding windows to open up the place) would be a good idea if it weren’t for the flies or the face that the view is the Bungendore main street parking. The prices seem to indicate that the food will be of a high quality however what is received is pretty average pub food. Overall – I won’t be returning and I think the food was better a couple of years ago before the renovations.
Well we fed a family if four great meals here, the size if meals was great value for money,, the atmosphere if the restuarant was just superb, a tasteful renovation and a fireplace to die for.. Great bar with a good selection of wines and if you are anywhere near bungendore you have to stop at the lake George hotel.. It’s a must…
We thought this place was great. Great food and great atmosphere. We will come again.
Extremely Disappointed. We ordered our meals, 4 arrived in a reasonable time. We were told the fifth was coming soon. After several prompts and 15-20 minutes later the fifth meal arrived. It was the absolute dregs. The Managers apology was appalling. Be warned
