The sushi had a little bit too much rice in it and not enough filling and there bento box had a cherry tomato in it and half a spring roll.Taste wise it was average at best. Despite being in a food court they have a little sushi train.
The chicken sushi is so so, but the fish especially salmon is pretty gross. Its sloppily put together and almost indistinguishable from the sauce. Dont bother.
Had food from here a couple of times & each time it hasn’t been too bad. Udon noodles made to order is tasty enough, sushi are fine, gyoza is huge & filled generously. For the portion size its not big. However this time I did question the freshness of the sushi – the teriyaki chicken had a strange, unfresh taste & had several bones. Will probably avoid going forward.
I was shopping at Westfield Burwood and needed some food as it was getting late in the day and wanted a late lunch. This food outlet has had a few re-incarnations and seemed to have changed names a few times. They also have a mini sushi train on one side of the store with a few stools. The menu board caught my eye and decided to give this place a try. The service is friendly and quick. I went with a Teriyaki Chicken Noodle and Fried Gyoza (Pork). The noodle dish was generous in size and the flavours were fantastic too and this was cooked to order. I really liked the sauce and high proportion of noodles to chicken and vegetables. It came with a complimentary miso soup. The gyoza was plump with a nice pork filling. A nice addition to the food court and a step above your usual outlet.
Average bento for $9, a good filling lunch with a variety of portioned dishes. The sweet chili chicken works well with the rice, and the noodles tasted strongly like sesame oil.
