Their oyster bar is my number 1 place to go to outside the oyster farmer in Mooney Mooney for my fresh shucked oysters. The sashimi is super fresh and amazing, love that they do Mt Cook salmon sashimi and Huon as seperate. You won’t regret a visit to their oyster bar!!
Bought some uncooked peeled and veined prawns and some marinated baby octopus today and was deeply, deeply, disappointed. Would not recommend, better take your money elsewhere. Sounds harsh but the uncooked prawns were so incredibly salted, texture and quality seemed fine except for the salt which rendered them barely edible. At $43 a kilo we expect far better. The baby octopus was better but lacked love, (marinade was sweet chili and tasted store bought rather than homemade) and was strangely tasteless . Tasted ok once we heated through in a pan with some garlic and chili. We’re don’t fancy ourselves gourmet or amateur food critics but really can’t stand for getting ripped off. Would love a response from management if you see this, we are reasonable people and want to support local business but feeling really ripped off atm.
