Definitely more of an upmarket asian restaurant as the dishes were presented in a nice way. My friends ordered a few meat dishes but they said the meat was dry. I ordered the tofu and vegetables dish which was delicious and the eggplant dish. I recommend the eggplant and vegetables dish because it was well seasoned.
Maopai Dishes of Hotpot is situated in Emerald Square, in Burwood. Ive been there a few times for their lunch special and really enjoyed it. The portions are generous and cooked well.
The food is nice here but two things stop me from going back One of the reasons is I found this sharp little chicken bone in my meal,never had this before,lucky it didn’t cut my mouthThe second is the price. There is a option which I found a little confusing to choose your noodles and add ons like fish balls to the meal. They had to get a staff member with better English to explain this. The dish is big but it was expensive Doubt I will be back
