+3 standard, decently good food+1 amazing noodles, definitely worth a tryNoise level: conversation at a slightly raised speaking volume.Lamb skewers portion size was a bit small but tender and flavourful.Shredded potato portion size was too big, only order as a side if sharing between 3 or 4.Noodles had amazing texture and are so satisfying to eat. A little spicy so ask for a reduction if youre not good with chilli.
Ordered: lamb skewers ($8.80), marinated beef/tripe/pork ear and bean curd ($11.80), potato dumpling soup, pan fried dumplings ($9.80) and biang biang noodles ($12.40). I would not recommend anything on the menu apart from the knife cut noodles. All the other dishes were either poor in quality (meat cuts used tasted gamey and cheap), small portions or lacked flavour. The noodles however had a nice bouncy texture and the accompanying sauce had minced pork pieces in a spicy sauce. The restaurant itself is clean and has aircon but I would prefer go to a dodgy institution in chinatown any day for better value and experience.
Really nice food. Had the Biang Biang noodle, great thick noodles with lots of flavour. I had the non-chili version so the real deal may even be better. Fast friendly service, with nice clean restaurant setting.
Would only come here for the signature biang biang noodles, it was nice and chewy, sauce was good and would recommend getting it spicy. You can find better lamb skewers for almost the same value (serving size was tiny). Pan fried dumplings were ordinary, the filling is very similar to the packaged ones. Pulled pork/lamb burgers were also too dry.
If you love Xi Bay or chewy noodles, youll love this place. I would say its the modern version of Xi Bay. Has pretty much the typical dishes – biang biang noodles, oil splash, lamb skewers, soup noodles. However, xian eatery has more side dishes which I like over Xi bay but Xi bay, I believe make better noodle dishes and more generous portions.
Noodie ninja! When you want some noods you gotta visit Xi’an Eatery, their handmade noodles are so thick you can wear them as a belt. Make sure you get their dumplings as well, it’s juicy and tasty. asianfoodninja.com
Decided to come here after seeing so much hype about the biang biang noodles so knew I had to try them.Pan fried dumplings: a bit on the oily side but I really enjoyed the dumpling skin it was thin and the dumplings were nice and crispy Chicken/pork and potato dish: the meat in this dish came with a lot of bones so it was quite difficult to eat Biang biang noodles: I really liked sauce in the dish and the texture of the noodles – they were nice and chewy. Portion size is also decent but I feel like this dish would be a good option for sharing because I got bored of the flavours/texture of it after only having a small portion
