I wanted this place to be better than it was. The venue itself has a nice beach feel, with wide open windows and a display of panini, salads, Vietnamese rice paper rolls and other fresh ingredients that promises a lot. I ordered a burger and my wife a Reuben. I will admit that Reubens are tricky. They should really be toasted and when done right they’re full of flavor. My wife’s was not toasted (at her request) and the result was dry. It remained three-quarters uneaten. My burger was reasonable without being outstanding. The bun was glazed but very light—almost like a brioche but without the moistness and flavor. The mince was fine if under-seasoned and the other fillings should have had more punch than they did. I certainly would give it another go, despite the order being messed up first time round by the staff, and the three stars reflects this.
3.7. This coffee spot was recommended to us. It’s open to the street which is great and there was a lovely breeze wafting though.Very good coffee here. My long black was a beauty. It’s mainly snacks and small meals on offer. They looked nice. Service was good too. Recommended.
