Popped into rae’s for lunch as a group of 4 staff did a great job accomodating us and were very helpful. We were quite excited to eat as we had heard lots of good reviews how ever we were let down. We ordered the salami and prawn pasta. The pasta was extremely over cooked as were the 2 prawns and the 38 dollar price tag was hard to swallow! In their defence after we were asked how it was and they found out we were disappointed the guys gave us a free cheesecake desert which was spectacular

Overpriced and bland. Looking forward to going for dinner we did ordering the Main Fraser Island crab spaghetti with tomatoes which the position was that of an entree. This did not fill myself or husband up at all which the pasta was not al Dente no seasoning and just taste like 2 minute noddles could have been better at this point. The scallop potatoes were actually just potato cakes and for $14 I would have been happy to order those at the fish shop instead. Great view and staff however I would go here for drinks and that about it.

The ambiance was so peaceful-very Mediterranean and relaxed. Overall good service! The food was exquisite-the steak, pastas and all the sides were cooked to perfection. The only thing I wouldn’t reorder was the steamed pippies as it wasn’t with traditional pasta. Flavours were still great though.

Location and service was great. The food was good however for the price the serving size was pretty small. Had the saltbush agnolotti and potato scallops which were a bit overpriced for the size of the meal.
