Lovely decor. Didn’t eat. Cocktails are imaginative and temping but mostly ice (see photo of finished cocktail, was lovely as first but quickly became watery).
We found The Bolt Hole this evening when walking by and decided to duck in for a drink. We were very surprised with what followed.Firstly the food. We ordered pulled pork and beef brisket Tacos to start ($5 each) and they were delicious. The meat was very tender with great accompaniments that gave you a burst of flavour throughout your mouth.Also ordered the chicken wings and pork ribs with a side of chips. One of the best servings of chips I have ever tasted as they were made in house with a great seasoning.The alcohol. So many choices! On the menu you have nearly 20 options for each type of spirit and a few local beers as well. A very smooth Gin and Tonic from a local Byron Bay company kept me company for the night.The service. Perfect with the staff checking on us often to see if we needed anything else. Also very knowledgeable of what was available on the menu and gave us their favorite choices which helped us with ours.5/5
Visited this venue on a Tuesday night. We were greeted by a very friendly bartender who sat with us and explained their whiskey/scotch list, with recommendations that did not lead us astray! Cocktails were different and beautiful to taste!!!We ordered the platter to share, it was huge, very tasty, the meat melted in your mouth, and the hand cut chips were amazing! The service on this night was impeccable, meal was well presented and the venue, is well thought out , simple, yet creative. Will definitely come again
We had the best dirty martinis we’ve ever had in our lives. Simply perfect. I’m afraid we’ll never have martinis like those again. Prepared by Zoe – she really knows a lot about the science behind creating amazing cocktails.
