huuge menu to choose from with some foods you wont find in other vegan restaurants in cabramatta. i ordered the pho, siu mai and honey chicken. the food was nice but a little bland.pros: – cheap- friendly waitstaff and prompt service- no onions/garlic for buddhist vegetarians- huge, diverse menuoverall, everything was cheap (around $11 for each dish), the service was lovely and the food was ok.i would come back here again to try some of the malaysian and thai food.
omg yes! we had the ayam (laksa?) and the radish dumplings. the ayam laksa was so interesting. it had seaweed and pineapple in it and fat see through noodles. the raddish dumplings were super interesting. the menu is massive chose wisely! the soups are a must try. id love to come back but I live in the city so it might be a while 🙁 the fake meat was also delicious. just walk down to the bottom of the arcade strip on belvedere we had trouble finding it as it’s not exactly on John st but down the arcade on belvedere 🙂
The honey chicken and rice was nice, it was battered nicely and the coating was crispy enough to melt in your mouth when you bite into it. It wouldve been even better if there was more honey sauce on the chicken as I found myself swirling the chicken in the last few drops of honey on the plate
I was vegan for a few years and I still occasionally get turned off by the idea of eating meat. This restaurant has changed owners or maybe just their chefs a few times. The first time I ate here some years ago, the chef was a Buddhist nun. Even though the chef has changed, the quality of the food and the service remains the same. I love how comfortable I feel here, it doesn’t get so busy when I visit so I can usually dine by myself and even set up laptop and do some work. There is one lady that speaks English and the staff is very friendly. I’m sure they support Buddhist teachings and temples because they still provide free DVDs on the topic. The menu is easy to read and is reasonably priced.
