I definitely have mixed feelings about Cafe Metrio. On the one hand they are useful for a decent coffee on the go when you’re absolutely nearing zombie status on a morning, however the service has been lacking on some occasions and can feel a tad chilly. The food on offer is standard fare and done well. As my rating reflects, it’s just an average cafe, nothing more and nothing less.
I ordered for coffee and gave 10 dollars to the long blond haired tattooed barrista, waiting for change. She only gave me change for 5 dollars arguing that I didn’t give 10. I asked her to check cameras she said there wasn’t any. She had no manners at all and was arrogant!! Never going back and telling my friends not to go either!!
Cheerful efficient barista, perfect wake me up on mornings. Have not tried their food offerings despite being in the area for a few weekends’ mornings. Quite popular for coffee grab n go in the wee hours in the area. How many cafes offer smoking area these days in sydney eh?! Thank God for cafes like this.
Stopped in here for a piccolo made with Toby’s Estate and got myself an Aa bowl. Really generous deep bowl so not bad for $12 given that purple goodness is so darn expensive. The coffee was decent.
The service is fantastic and hands down the best coffee and food in the area. The moment I walked in for a quick coffee I was treated like I was a regular which made me always return. Always good for a laugh and a chat with the staff. Comfortable seating and facilities. The food is made to order no matter what the request.
I only go here if I need to grab a coffee. In Campsie its hard to get average coffee around. Haven’t tried food yet but looks like they have full range of breakfast and lunch menu.
The only thing this place has for it self is great coffee brand Toby Estate and they use Moro extra virgin olive oil and Siena Tuna. The main lady on the coffee machine blonde long hair with tatts is not a qualified barrista coffee was burnt and milk over boiled. She is a bit arrogant and so is their service. They can’t even be bothered keeping tap water cool in a fridge. Drinking glasses were filthy oily finger marks and eggy smelling. The food items in the cabinet looked like last weeks. I sure won’t be going back again. You could get a better meal at Grilled or Maccers at least you know it’s safe. In today’s world people want friendly service and good food that is not over priced this place does not offer that.
