My partner and I have had the big breakfast here twice now. A really nice and passionate oriental lady used to greet us with a warm welcome. The service I receive here impacts on my perception of the whole experience and I thank her for her enthusiasm. On the first dining experience, the food was well-portioned and the balance of each food on the plate was well worth it. Sausages, absolutely beautiful here. Scrambled eggs had no need for seasoning. They also provided us with complimentary olives and haloumi which assisted in exploring different palates preferences. We’ve returned 3-4 times thereafter. Every time we return, we’ve noticed there is an inconsistency with food presentation or more so how it’s cooked. Last two times, there were no olives, the haloumi came cold, tomatoes were slightly warm than grilled, eggs were poached (for some reason), found green mould on a few pieces of the toasted bread and it was a different type of sausage with a wine-like taste which wasn’t to my preference. At the moment, this is the only cafe I know of in that area with this level of personalized service though if you’re up for a one off big breakfast in the area, I’d recommend this place though double check the bread before eating. Not sure why this comes up to be located in Hurstville, its very much Campsie.
