Seems like this place is under new management because the whole menu has had a revamp. We came here for breakfast and the shakshuka w the beef was delicious! I definitely cleaned it up. Keen to try out other items esp the desserts. Delicious. Keep up the good work
We ordered the deep fried gaytime and the beautiful presentation was quite a surprise! The Gaytime did not disappoint but the rest of the elements on the plate were just sub par. I did like the boba pearls that popped in the mouth but the chocolate was all hard and dry and the berries were..well, just berries.
Wasnt really a fan of the strawberry/watermelon bingsoo. It was very icy and tasted like rosewater throughout but the biscuits were nice. The green tea fondant on the other hand, was very good. I would highly recommend if youre a fan of green tea. Minimum EFTPOS is $20
V Lounge used to be my go-to dessert and hang-out place in Canley Heights back during my uni days. After Holy Basil and Green Peppercorn, V Lounge was one of the first places to do the fried ice cream cigars with a thin pastry wrapper on the outside instead of the crumbs that you used to get on your fried ice cream balls at a Chinese restaurant. But wow, has dessert innovation and beautiful Insta-worthy desserts come so far since those days!All that I can say is that our desserts tasted as good as they looked and even my non-dessert loving dining companion (yes, apparently they do exist!) really enjoyed his matcha tiramisu. The new menu at V Lounge is amazing. The desserts are all beautifully executed and service is generally good. My favourite items are the fried ice cream cigars, matcha waffles and the creme brulee trio.
The food is is quite good and the service good. I believe we came at a bad time on a weekday afternoon because the Eftpos machine was out and a few things on the menu were unavailable. Also, there was only on waitstaff and there must have been short staff in the kitchen because the food was given an extra 10minute wait on top of the standard 20 minute wait.
Ive visited V Lounge a couple of times now and Im always impressed by the menu range that caters to brekky, brunch, dinner and even dessert. The new interior is quite nice as well!We ordered the Quesadilla and Wagyu Beef Burger. I loved the Quesadilla, it was really good. I highly recommend ordering this! The Wagyu Beef Burger was ok, the burger bun wasnt that fresh and the patty was a little disappointing. Ive also tried the Pesto Chicken Pizza and absolutely loved the combination of flavours!We also ordered the Menage A Trois (creme brulee). The presentation was on point but the creme brulee itself was underwhelming, especially the pandan flavour. The original flavour was good.
