I stop here for a quick coffee when I’m on school drop off and the coffee is consistently good. The staff do seem a bit flustered but friendly enough. I like the interior and the Italian produce for sale.
Love the new menu that’s just been introduced, lots of variety and prices are very fair, had the Thai beef salad, really enjoyed it, my partner had the steak sandwich the meat was tender like butter. will definitely go back and try more things on the menu, coffee was amazing was worth every penny.
Great food ! Great company. I am a local and a frequent customer of the cafe. Port hacking cafe has the most amazing coffee and most delicious cakes and wraps.Affordable and yummy, I look forward to coming in with my children on Saturday mornings for a weekly breakfast and coffee. Great atmosphere, always such a lovely place to spend time with the family !
Whats with cafe owners?. The coffee and food is average and incredibly over priced. Service is painfully slow. Owners are rude. There are much better, friendlier and cheaper places in Caringbah.
Don’t waste your money!. You grow accustomed to a certain standard of quality when eating out in the shire with its multitude of fabulous cafes and eateries. I ordered tomato and avocado on toast. I have ordered this at other cafes dozens of times before (mostly off menu) and been rewarded with a beautiful piece of toasted sourdough or Turkish with fresh cut avocado and tomato, often drizzled with a slight olive and balsamic and seasoning… It differs from restaurant, they all have their own interpretation of it but it’s always fabulous… Until I was served this SLOP!! I wouldn’t plate this in my own kitchen at home and haven’t had such a low quality meal even from a simple sandwich shop! When I nicely tried to explain to the manageress or owner (not sure!) that they should have a word with their chef she started ranting at me that I wasn’t clear about what I wanted and she only charged me $5!! A word to you mam, I was very clear about what I wanted… Avocado on toast is not rocket science… What I perhaps did not make clear to you is the quality of food I expected. And You set the price… I was happy to pay double that for a decent breakfast but instead your food ruined my appetite and your attitude ruined my morning!
