You should definitely come to this restaurant if you’re looking for authentic and delicious Malaysian food. The portions are huge and the prices are cheap. We loved the curry chicken and potatoes and the taro slice with shrimp.

Saw Albee’s opened up in Carlingford and I had previously been to their Kingsford branch. We were after a simple dinner so didn’t really try much from their menu, I had the special laksa and my friend had the beef rendang with coconut rice. The laksa was a bit expensive but the portion was big.

3.5/5There aren’t many Malaysian places around here. It was already packed when we got there at 5:30pm on Sunday. We still got seated pretty quickly, but people who got here around 6:30 had to wait. The menu was pretty standard to other Malaysian restaurants. We ordered a seafood laksa, seafood claypot noodles and Hainanese chicken rice. We also got chendol, Teh tarik and Michael Jackson (herbal jelly with coconut milk). The portion was generous, but the claypot noodle was not as good as I anticipated. It was a little too soft. The chicken was average, not very flavourful. The drinks, was really nice. Also, the name of this restaurant suggested it is affiliated with Albee’s Kitchen, But the quality is nowhere on par.
