A bit of a captive audience attached to the Grand Mercure. While the food is quite good the prices are over the top. Better options out there in the Castle Hill area.
Attended the restaurant as part of a function.The breakfast, lunch and dinner were not to a standard expected for a place that markets itself as a high quality establishment.The dinner serving was small, the quality of the ingredients low, in particular the fish was tasteless, and the risotto undercooked.The bread came out after the entree was served.The breakfast was unappealing and ordinary.Having said that, the atmosphere was great. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.The table service was friendly.
Lucky Dip. Service is generally quite good, though on a busy night it may be slow. Food is pretty brilliant, though I’ve had one or two dishes there that I wasn’t very impressed with considering the price, so its a bit of a lucky dip! I liked the vibe, and the bar offers some fairly nice beer (Chancer).
Very bad food, amateur service, bad music- this was an all round terrible experience! With an atmosphere (besides the music) with so much potential they have really dropped the ball with their below average food and service.
